Cellulose ether offer Daily chemical grade hydroxypropyl methylcellulose is a synthetic high molecular polymer prepared by chemical modification with natural cellulose as raw material. Cellulose ethers are derivatives of natural cellulose. The production of cellulose ethers differs from synthetic polymers. Its most basic material is cellulose, a natural polymer compound. Due to the special structure of natural cellulose, cellulose itself does not have the ability to react with etherifying agents. However, after processing the bulking agent, the strong hydrogen bonds between and within the molecular chains are broken, and the activity of the hydroxyl groups is released into alkaline cellulose with reactive ability.
